Teaching practice - 31st day

Today's teaching practice was initiated by morning prayer from school choir group.Exams were conducted which was postponed due to strike.Today's  time was well utilized for record writing and substitution hours as it was the reopening day.After the national anthem we bid farewell to the school and went back to our respective houses.

Today's teaching practice was involved with record works and exam duties.Excluding me, my teacher trainees group went to different exam halls.I went for half an hour duty in the afternoon session.After exams got over,we left the school premises to reach our respective houses.

Today's teaching practice was busy schedule of exam duties assigned to us.

In the forenoon we were doing our college works.

In the afternoon session i got the exam duty in room no.7.

After the exams got over,we bid adieu to the school and went back to our respective houses.

Today's teaching practice was mainly exams oriented as we were given exam duty in different classes in forenoon and afternoon sessions.

So we were indulged in this duty.We bid adieu to school after 4.15 p.m......

Teaching practice - 24th day

Today's teaching practice was actually a free for us due to the initiation of Christmas exams.we spent our day doing record and other college works.After the exams was over,we left the school for to reach for our respective houses.

Today's teaching practice was mainly induced in substitution hours as the classes will only be up to forenoon.

I conducted the diagnostic test in 9th C class and collected the answer papers from students.

In the afternoon sessions our teacher trainee team did our college works and was assigned with exam number writing on desks and other works.After national anthem at 4.00 pm we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 22nd day

Today's teaching practice was a repetition of yesterday as I decided to be prepared with my lessons for revision.

We took part in midday meal serving for students.

I actively engaged in visualizing the conscientization classes of my peers Athira b Krishnan and jisha John.Water conservation and waste management was the topics held for the classes.

After national anthem we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 21st day

Today's teaching practice started with morning prayer.As exams were nearing i was instructed by my teacher in charge to revise the portions of biology in the 9th C class.We took part in the midday meal program and served lunch to the students.In the 7th hour i went to 9th C class to take my topics.

           After national anthem at 4.00 pm we bid adieu to the school went to our respective houses.

Teaching practice - 20th day

Today's teaching practice in the school initiated by morning prayer.I had my assigned topics completed yet I decided to revise them in the 9th C class if any free hours comes up.

I took part in midday meal serving and had my lesson plans checked if any errors have occurred.After national anthem at 4.00 pm we left the school premises and bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 18th day

Today's teaching practice initiated with gracious morning prayer by school choir group.My schedule in the school was divided into two i;e conscientization class and usual biology hour in 9th C class at 5 th hour.I decided to conduct my conscientization class on the topic 'Internet usage' in 8th standard class.

The class was effective and the students gained valuable information on pros and cons of internet usage.In the lunch break we went to the school kitchen served food to the students of the mid day meal program.In the 5th hour I taught the topic 'excretion in other organisms' in the 9th C class using ICT oriented teaching method.The class was interesting and students interacted gracefully.After national anthem we bid adieu to the school and had to leave immediately due to extreme weather conditions.

Teaching practice - 17th day

Today's teaching practice started with morning assembly congratulating the participants of sports and other activities by providing them certificates by the headmistress and also eliciting a speech on keeping the surroundings clean and following personal hygiene.

Today I received the 3rd hour in 9thC class.I taught the topic 'kidney diseases' in the class which gave the students a wider knowledge about how to consume good food,proper toilet practices and how to avoid lifestyle disorders.Our teacher trainee team helped in serving midday meals to students.After lunch we were notified that school will closes at 2:20 pm due to ochira temple functions known as 'Panthrandu vilakku' .We bid adieu to the school after national anthem.

Teaching practice - 16th day

Today's school day was actually cumbersome as there was so many substitution hours in different classes.

I had 7th hour in 9th C class so  i prepared well for my classes with the topic 'Formation of Urine'.I used ICT in the class to make it more interesting and interactive.After national anthem we bid adieu to the school and went to our respective houses.

Teaching practice - 15th day

Today's teaching practice in the school was actually correlated with arrangements and support for students working on still models and working models of different scientific inventions that can be presented in the science exhibition program hosted by the school.In free time we all did our record works and other functions.

The science exhibition initiated in the afternoon session of the school.

Different types of models and other works were displayed with good and interesting way.

After rapping up the program,we bid adieu to the school after the national anthem.

Teaching practice - 14th day

Today's teaching practice was initiated by morning prayer by school choir group.Our teacher trainee group was assigned substitution hours in different classes.I got the third hour in 9th C class and taught the topic 'Structure of Nephron'.The students responded well to my questions and answers were provided.

In the afternoon noon session one of our respective peer Geethu.R conducted a conscientization class on 'Personal hygiene' in 8th standard class.

The class conducted was a good experience and the students gained valuable knowledge.After national anthem we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 13th day

Today's activities for the classes were minimum as students were sent for counselling classes.I got my classes in 9th C and completed the topic 'Internal structure of kidney' using ICT facilities.

The understood the topic well and responded interestingly.After the national anthem occurred at 3.00 pm due to weather conditions we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice -12th day

Today's teaching practice started with morning prayer.Our teachers trainee group were notified about the counselling classes conducted for  8th and 9th classes.We indulged in substitution classes assigned for each of us and did the peer evaluation works.We took part in midday meal serving and our college works respectively.

After national anthem we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 11th day

Today's classes were not conducted in the school due to educational strike elicited by a political party.

We were informed by the headmistress to be present in the school for the whole day but due to extreme weather conditions we were granted half day leave and we bid adieu to the school soon after the notification.

Teaching practice - 10 th day

Today's teaching practice started with substitution hours in 10 A class.I got prepared for my classes in 9th C with lesson plans and activity cards if free hours are available.Peer evaluation was conducted on physics class taken by teacher trainee jisha,one of our team mate.

Conscientization class related to blood donations were conducted by Sneha.k in 8th class and i was one of the observer and provided technical assist if needed.

Due to heavy rain our school day ended at 3:30 pm and we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 9th day

Today's teaching practice started with a melodious school prayer by the school choir group.Our teacher trainee team had a discussion about all conscientization classes conducted and going to be conducted.I was given substitution hour in  9th C class were I continued my topic for teaching in same class.Our teacher trainee group got involved in serving lunch for students in the school.

I also went to one of my peer's i,e Aiswarya 's conscientization class on ill effects of using Alcohol and how to curb the problems of alcoholism in life.

It was a wonderful time utilization for me and I gained so many valuable knowledge from the class.We bid adieu to the school after the national anthem.

Teaching practice - 4th day to 8th day

Contemplating our teaching practice of this one week is actually giving out a summarized version of our works in H.S.S Chettikulangara.

Highlights of this week is arrival and observations of our teachers i,e both general and optional teachers.Sri.Anita Mrs ,Sri.jeena Mrs and my optional teacher Sri.Murali Das sir arrived for assessing and observations of classes.

Also the celebration of Children's day and commemoration of an alumni whos late demise was some more action.

Following lesson plans , making charts and activity cards for the classes to be taught is our aim motto.

All of this is an exquisite experience for us teacher trainees.

Teaching practice - 8th day

Today's day initiated by morning assembly by remembering on of the student's who died due to some physical conditions.The school authority commemorated this remembrance by awarding prizes to exceptional students with good performance in his name.

After the assembly,we all went back to our daily school works.To observe my class in 9th C our optional teacher Sri.Murali Das Sir arrived and observed my class,gave inferences and advice to improvise my teaching methods.After serving lunch to students we had our lunch.Peer evaluation was conducted on our teammates classes.After national anthem we bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 7th day

Today, 7th day teaching practice started with the celebration of children's day which marks 130th birthday of our first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru.The school hosted a small program in the school assembly remembering this auspicious day.

After the program we all went back to our school activities concentrating on teaching and peer evaluation.The day ended in the school after the national anthem and we bid farewell to the school.

Teaching practice- 2nd day

As the second day of the teaching practice at H.S.S Chettikulangara....we the teacher trainees went for our class hours and were given substitution hours by the teachers of the school... We met more children and learned more about them.....we also  indulged in our record works,journal writing and chart making for our respective classes.....it was a more gracious day yet the climate was hot.from this scenario itself I understood that teaching is most strongest profession and teachers are the strongest people who struggle throughout hardships and becomes the guiding light for his/her students to achieve the ultimate aim of education.....

Teaching practice - 6th day

Today's teaching practice started with the morning prayer.We were notified that teacher trainees from Pete memorial training college will be coming to   H.S.S Chettikulangara for teaching practice.Our team had a conversation with them.

After the prayer our team went to their classes for teaching.

I had class in 9th C today in 7th hour .I was well prepared for my classes with needed lesson plans,activity cards and charts.

The class gave me a more understanding of communication with my students.We said adieu to the school after national anthem.

Teaching practice - 5th day

Today teaching practice started with morning prayer.I got ready with my lesson plans and activity cards to teach if any classes are available.

Our general teacher Sri.Anita Mrs arrived at school to observe our classes.

After observations she gave us valuable information on how to make teaching more effective.

It was a good day for me in my teaching practice bout.

Teaching practice - 4th day

Today was an interesting day, started with  morning prayer.Due to classroom arrangements our rooms were shifted to teachers staff room.I got ready for my teaching practice with lesson plans and activity cards.

Sri.Saija teacher,our physical science optional teacher came for class observations of our class mates.

The day was enthusiastic and enjoyable for teaching practice works.

Teaching practice - 1st to 3rd day

The teaching practice 4rth semester started on 6th November 2019.with a new environment of H.S.S Chettikulangara it was a new experience for me as a teacher trainee and as a pre-service teacher.

Our team consisting of 9 individuals from different optionals with assigned duties i,e record works,classes ,conscientization programs,etc has to work carefully to obtain best results.

My first class was actually a chat with students,about their name,place and so.

The very next day went by same routine as children were involved in preparation for youthfestival.

I had my classes that day and all went well.On third day the classes was in 5th hour of 9 standard C division.I taught them the topic excretion and excretory organs.The children was very cooperative and the class more of a discussions between me and them.It was a good experience for me to assess the caliber and response of my students.At the end of the day I thanked my teachers and college for giving an opportunity like this in my mind.Thank you all.......

Teaching practice - 8th November

With the third day of the teaching practice.....it was actually a more perilous day as the climate was so hot and the temperature was so high yet as posted in my previous blog updates it is strength of a teacher to adapt to his surroundings and perform well.

It was actually a usual school day with classes for all our teacher trainees. I had my class in 9 th standard division C in fifth hour after lunch break.Explaining the subject matter to and absorbing their knowledge on the topic was crucial to me as a teacher because I wanted to assess how the responds and give answers to appropriate questions.

The class went well.We were all preparing and collecting valuable points for our conscentization classes.The day went well and wrapped up with national anthem and our team bid adieu to the school.

Teaching practice - 2019

After a while ,it was refreshing to be back doing the 4th semester teaching practice in H.S.S chettikulangara...with a whole new teacher trainee team.

Today it was a warm welcome for me and my team in the school by teachers and headmistress.

In the morning assembly itself our presence in the school was notified by one of the teacher's.The morning assembly was well conducted and availed as a venue to congratulate and give away prizes for students in sports,science fair and other activities.

The morning started with assembly conducted by the students with the inaugration and celebration of 'World Yoga Day' .Head Mistress Smt.Jalajamani teacher gave the inaugral speech about the importance of yoga in our daily life.The students of H.S.S was given  yoga classes by the one of the respected alumni who is an excise police officer.

The afternoon session was all involved in class of biology for one period and followed by other classes.The day concluded with national anthem and we bid adieu to the school for this day.
